With the development of world economy, the containertransportation is becoming a tendency in world transportation. Meanwhile,EDI isplaying more important a role in exchanging the information in containertransportation . This article,on the basis of probing into the importance of EDI incontainer transportation, analyzes the present situation and problems of EDI inDalian port. Finally,this article puts forward measures on how to set up the EDIsystem of container transportation in Dalian.
